As long as they are both consenting adults there is nothing wrong with it. It is not common in Western countries but very much in the open and talking about and accepted. As you can see from some of the dumb ignorance in some of these answers, so people are not so tolerant which is a total mystery to me. It doesn't affect them at all so why so much hate?
Almost nothing modern man does is "natural" such as driving cars, flying planes, typing on computers - so "natural" is no gauge for what is right or wrong. If your friend and his partner are happy, leave it alone and just be the good friend you are.

It is not the norm, but it does happen.
It is against religion, but religion says "the natural man is the enemy of God".
All people have some kind of lusts, different people have different temptations to deal with.
Different people have different natures, and though it would be against my nature I can not speak for those who practice such things (watch animals at the zoo, and you may be shocked)
In many western countries it has been more widely accepted. King Francis of France went that way openly, so do a lot of British pop stars.
And other sexual acts that are considered sins are more accepted than they used to be.

Natural law says it is wrong. Utilitarian theory says that whatver brings the msot happiness to the most ppl and the least suffering to the fewer ppl is acceptable. It's your own choice which to follow and believe :P Personally im not against gays.. They have the freedom to be in such a relationship and i dont really think they hurt or affect anyone. And it's true that in western countris homosexuality is more socially accepted.

Of course its against nature. Even our own biology stands witness and judge against the relationship. Pure and simple, the dick is meant for the vagina and not for the bum hole. And the bum hole is for shitt not another dick. Okay ?
Eve was created out of Adam. When Adam was in a deep sleep. Eve was created becasue God said it was not good for Adam to be alone. So he created Eve not another Adam. Did He ?
Okay except for the caterpillar which has the male and female on the opposite end, i know not of another creatures that share the same sex. And for that matter, even the caterpillar which we are not, have male on one end and FEMALE on the other. Even the lowly caterpillar understands that.
