condoms do not offer 100% protection but they do have a good high percentage for avoiding pregnancy. My advice to anyone who has an accident with a condom is to seek medical advice asap, the women can still take a morning after pill and pregnancy is then highly unlikely. this morning after pill can be taken up to 3 days after the 'accident'. I could never understand a women waiting to see if she was pregnant or not, what is the choice if she is? abortion? Not a very smart choice to make. so if in doubt about level of protection, see a doctor as soon as. Never wait xxxx

If the condom splits then yes there is a chance you can get pregnant. Also if there was any possible contact of sperm to your cervix by other means (the mind boggles...). No birth control is 100% other than abstaining, female sterilisation and hysterectomy. If you're worried that the condom may have split then you can take the "morning after pill" up to 72 hours (3 days) after intercourse and it will still be effective. You can get this over the counter without prescription from your pharmacist.

Yes, it is still possible to get pregnant even when you use a condom. There are such a thing as it having a tear in it or it not being put on properly because they are too young to know how to use one correctly. It sounds like you may be too young as well. I am not trying to be rude so please don't think that . I say that you sound young because of the way that you stated your question and the way that you spelled everything except for does and 100%. Just to let you know as well that there is only one way to be 100% safe when it comes to having sex and that is to avoid it all together.

NO! They are not 100%, nor are any other form of contraception.
However the pill does have the best over all protection, but again cannot guarantee 100% (late taking or missed pill etc can lessen its effectiveness). All other form of contraception have varying levels of effectiveness and certainly are better than nothing.
Female sterilisation can be reversed naturally (the body has been known to repair the "cut tubes" over a period of years, resulting in surprise pregnancies) unless a full hysterectomy has been formed .
The snip will also take up to 6 months to become effective and sperm counts will have to be preformed until to count reaches 0!
Have fun and be careful! lol

Hello there.
Nothing is ever 100% effective except abstinence. However condoms *if used properly* offer very good protection from pregnancy. Unlike many other effective forms of birth control they also offer very good protection from all kinds of STD's. Many people have gone for years and years using condoms as their only form of birth control and have had excellent results.
As I said though, condoms, in order to be effective, must be used properly, that is the key.
If the condom is used correctly the odds of a pregnancy occurring are very, very small.
Good luck

they are not 100% effective.. they are in the high 90's. however they can fail if not used properly, or if they burst or rupture
read the instructions in the packet
some men discharge viable sperm quite early so its posisble if the condom is not worn early enough it will not stop early ejactulation
I dont thionk there is ever a 100% guaranteed birth control method (short of abstinance) as all other methods have been known to occasionally fail (Eg Diaphragms, Coils or whatever), however its is a pretty effective moethod of contraception.... pregnancy rates when using condoms are very very rare, and as an added bonus the risk of spreading STD's is also very low (something you dont get with methods such as the pill, diaphragm or coil)

Condoms are not 100% protection against pregnancy. The only protection that is 100% guaranteed from pregnancy is abstinence.
It does take two to tango, unfortunately. Accept the consequences. That's the only thing you can do.

Condoms aren't 100% effective.
The pill isn't 100% effective.
Combined they're not 100% effective(and that means taking the pill and using the condom by the way).
Vasectomy isn't always 100% effective.
Sterilisation isn't always 100% effective.
There's always a risk of pregnancy if you have sex.
So either don't have sex OR don't have sex with anyone you wouldn't mind potentially having a child with.
You would be amazed how many men/women you suddenly DON'T want to sleep with!

Yes u can still get pregnant... out of every 1000 condoms 4 of them have holes in them... They can also tear very easily... Make sure ur on the pill 2 or have a IUD that helps increase ur percentage of not getting pregnant but not getting an STD sooo make sure that the condom is properly on and u have a spermacide to boot...
good luck...

condoms are 100% protective...as long as they don't rip. A condom that is in perfect condition will prevent pregnancy. To avoid the condom spiltting, make sure you have the right size and that you are careful handling them with nais etc.
