China and India have a lot of elderly people who are not in a position to enjoy the fruits of this . Instead they are finding themselves struggling to live decently with their fading savings compared to the near arrogent and highly agressive youth who enjoy the platform to earn almost 5 to 10 times their elders. With the joint family dis integrating is this creating more sense of insecurity amoung the aged?

Yes it is very sad. Instead of respecting the old for their understanding and experience, they are treated shabbily. The nuclear family system also, is a blow to the elderly. But if we give them a chance, a second inning, maybe they can give us something valuable in return, like maintaining our culture and sense of values etc.
