I'm getting married today, yes I'm nervous and scared but I'm going to be fine. Any advice you want to give I'm really just curious what you all have to say!

Communication is key to a happy marriage, but understanding how your mate communicates will be a great help. Sometimes a guy will get very quiet, which is usually a signal that something is weighing on his mind. He may not bring it up to you, because guys are taught to internalize things, so be prepared to do a little coaxing to get the dialog going.

Another good piece of advice - never go to bed angry. Try and clear the air before the lights go out, otherwise little arguments and conflicts will fester and grow into something bigger than it needs to be. It's okay to argue, have the occassional verbal sparring over this and that, just don't let it go on for too long or else it gets out of control. (Besides, you need those little tiffs to have great 'make-up sex'.)

Lastly, consult with each other of the little things as well as the big things. You wouldn't want him to go out and buy a Plasma Screen TV without talking to you first, so be sure you talk to him before you go and buy an expensive purse or shoes. it shows mutual respect for each other, as well as your finances.

Good luck, and may you both have a lifetime of happiness together!

The fact that youre nervous, while it may be uncomfortable, is a good sign...it means you care and understand the importance of what you are doing. scared is good too, I would be concerned if you said you don't care and so what...you know.
everyone gets the jitters, try to concentrate on what you are doing, not all the hype, you are marring the man you love. Have a great day, the jitters stop right after, have a happy life together, I jsut got married in November and was sick for like two weeks before with stomache problems,,,the second I said I do, they were gone, it's okay, try to relax alittle, have fun, happy life.

I have 2. I consider these rules of behavior. I live by these.

1. Would you do what you are doing if your Husband was standing right behind you and looking over your shoulder? No? Stop doing it, it is wrong. Yes? Continue on and have a good time.
2. Pick your fights. Is this issue truly worth fighting over? No? Stop arguing, let it go. Yes? Stick to your guns until they agree or a compromise can be reached.

I'm sure that some are going to tell you to never go to bed angry, but that never went well for me and my husband. In the end you two have to work out what works best in your marriage.

Congratulations, and I hope you have a long and happy life with your loving husband.

Well, I've been married for almost 3 years. I honestly believe that you have to remember that we are all human. We make mistakes so it's not going to be perfect all the time. Marriage is about togetherness. This means compromise and forgiveness. The best advice I recieved is to pick your battles.....Can't be right all the time.

Much luck and happiness forever!!

Just make sure this is something that you REALLY want...marriage is 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You will be nervous, just make sure it is what you want. If you are ready then go for it. Marriage is alot of work, just be prepared. Good Luck:)

Just try to love the guy as much as you can and do some fun things together. Remember anything done within the confines of the bedroom is OK and if he cant get it inside he might try it outside. Show him this answer and let him draw his conclusions also.

I hope it is to your soul mate or to your best friend at the least. Marriage is the union of two lovers heart mind and soul. Wedding is but the graduation ceremony from courtship.

DO NOT cut him off from sex or any other affection. That is what will lead men to cheat! Don't NAG him to death and compliment him on the little things. (and big things to!!)
