Surley this is wrong, 4 months for recording phone calls about the royals........
versus....
a peadophile NOT going to prison because John Reid tells the judicial system not to send offenders to prison unless really needed.
they got it the wrong way round, that peado is free on the streets to re offend!.....stupid, stupid, stupid!

answers so far are correct and I get where your coming from, but surley letting a peado loose, can not be justified or defended in a way, it's just plain wrong!
and is definately NOT a simple crime!

Because it is more important to prevent the public from hearing conspiracies as they are hatched or fostered.

Imagine the repercussions if the royals had admitted knowledge of 9/11 before the event, or some juicy tidbit about their American cousins.

It is much more important to control information, and protect the powers that be, than it is to protect the societal feeders and their children.

Spying on the general public is required, because of the war on terror, but spying on the leadership can not be tolerated and will be punished.

Issues of national insecurity always take precedence over simple criminal offenses.
