Not to me, but my Mother told me that years ago she was on a bus where a woman was getting angry with her small daughter who wouldn't behave. Eventually the woman lost her temper and smacked the little girl.

There was an unhappy silence for a minute then the little girls voice was heard to say...'if you hit me again, I'll tell everybody you peed in the sink!'

Picture the scene...

Saturday afternoon in the supermarket, queues as far as the eye can see to the left and right of me and my then 3yr old son.

"Mommy..."

he says, in a really loud, clear voice,

"...why has that lady over there.."

(pointing)

"..got a beard?"

And the answer? With most of the people from 3 queues in either direction now unashamedly looking not only for the lady with the beard but also to see what I'd say, I replied

"Because she wants one."

Kids.

It was a year or so later, when he was reading the labels in the fruit section that he came charging over to me waving a pre-prepared pack of melon in the air, asking, at the top of his voice

"Mu-um, why doesn't OUR melon have balls?"

If someone invents an instant hole I'll be 1st in the queue.

When my youngest daughter was only about 2 1/2 or 3, her dad and I had her in Wal Mart. She was doing what kids do, begging for this and that, and we told her no. We were in the isle in the toy dept, and she flopped to the floor in a temper tantrum. We don't recognize tantrums, so we quietly walked around to the next isle to show her we weren't impressed. She looked up when she realized all was quiet, and found herself alone. She reared up and bellowed throughout the whole store "Ya'll treat me like a DOG, and I don't appreciate it! " We didn't know whether to fall out laughing or be mortified! LOL

I cant think of anything that's been done to me right now, but i DO know of something i did to my mum!! She still blushes from the shame now!!!

I was 4 years old, and my mum used to work in the little corner shop on a saturday afternoon, so she knew the man who owned it quite well. (his name was Len)

One day, we went in there together, and my mum picked up a packet of sanitary towels and put them on the counter. I said - with pure innocence "my mum puts them on her bum."

My mum told be to be quiet several times, but being 4 years old, and indignant - knowing i was right i carried on. " Yes she does, she does len she puts them on her bum. You DO mum."

Well you can imagine my mums embarassement!!! (I'm talking 28 years ago here - it was not a subject to be talked about in public!!!)

When my nephew was 2 we were on the bus and there was a very large lady sitting opposite us. He stared at her the whole way puffing out his cheeks playing the 'my names chubby' game! I was mortified but she just laughed and said what a lovely cheeky boy!

I was in Adams with my 3yr old and she was sat on a chair whilst I was trying some shoes on her. A Shop assistant came over to talk to her. She was a really small girl, but as she leaned over to talk to my daughter, the little angel says "why have you got a small head?".
Where is that big hole when you need it?
