So many to choose from:

Fiction: Prep, Lonesome Dove, Rebecca, anything by Pat Conroy.
Non-fiction: The World is Flat, Influenza, the great Pandemic

Quick reads: anything by Nora Roberts, anything at an airport :)

I'm rereading some favorite Newberry Award winners-- I found them magical when I was growing up and it's fun to remember and read them now.

Enjoy!

Okay... I know this is probably not what you are looking for, but while you are on your way to get the other leisure books recommended, stop by the children's section. Robert McCloskey's "Time of Wonder" is the most relaxing book I have ever read in my entire life. It's simple and beautiful.

When I saw "leisure" that was the first book that popped into my head, so I had to share.

If you are looking for a quick read and you like chick lit, Mary Kay Andrews or Sue Margolis.
If you are looking for mystery, I agree with whoever said Nora Roberts and I'll add Sue Grafton.
Also I definitely agree with the girl who said she was rereading the books that won awards because A Wrinkle In Time is very good. Also a new series out by Jeannie DuPrau is a very quick read I read the first 2 in 3 days. Good luck!
