Science and technology increase productivity: it makes people's labor more valuable so wages increase and it decrease the price of products produced, allowing most people to buy more with less labor.

However, most poverty is caused by government interferrence in the economy, so the most usefuly technology for people in the worst countries would be the AK47's used by the impoverished to overthrow their dictatorial leaders.

I believe this is primarily a political problem, rather than a technological one, but many technologies can be put to good use, including better ways of producing or storing food, new ways of treating addictions, new educational technologies.

Don't worry about poverty ,just get your education so u might teach others. There will always be ignorant and most of them u cant help anyway.

Use parabolic reflectors (solar cookers) which require no fuel, and solar panels to generate electricity which can be stores in deep cycle batteries and then used at night for lighting, TV, radio, etc.
