I loved both of these shows when I was a kid, along with Super Ted, Around The World With Willy Fogg, Super Ted, Dogtanian, Greenclaws World, Duck tails, Puddle Lane, Tail Spin, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers, The Racoons, The Broom Cupboard ,Going Live.
I had a phobia of Postman Pat, even though I used to watch it religiously! According to my mom I used to say 'I don't like his nose!'
I used to watch Fireman Sam too, which casued much hilarity in our house because my mom is called Mrs Price and there was a character in it called Mrs Price. Silly little things like that used to make me laugh so much (when I was six!)
Check out these links for all the info you could ever possibly want on Bertha and Pigeon Street!

Long distance Clara - she was ace!!
If you lived in Pigeon Street,
Here are the people you could meet,
Here are the people who would say
Hello, Goodbye, Hello, Goodbye
Every day
If you lived in Pigeon Street,
Here are the people you could meet,
Here are the people who would share
the sights, the sounds, the air
Where pigeons beat their wings, wings beat.
Pigeons beat their wings, wings beat
to meet in Pigeon Street
Unfortunately you can't hear me singing!!!!

Here are the people who would share
The sights, the sounds, the air, where...,
Pigeons beat, their wings wings beat,
Pigeons beat, their wings wings beat,
To meet in Pigeon Street.
