hello!? what planet r u come from??? well, here're some news to refresh your memory.
Indonesia a.k.a Republic of Indonesia is :
1. the biggest archipelago country in the earth (more than 13.000 islands)
2. populated more that 220 million people (makes it one of the most populated country in the world)
3. located at South East Asia (between 2 continent & 2 ocean - Asia + Australia & Indian + Pacific Ocean)
4. capital city : Jakarta
5. used to be a colony of Netherlands, Portuguese, Japan
6. independent on 17 August 1945
7. it is NOT a part of any other country !!!!
8. it is NOT a Moslem's country, but it IS a country which has the most Moslems in the world
9. it is a democratic country
10. it has 5 religions, and anyone who live there must have a religion
11. Sabang (located at We Island) is the most west part & Merauke (located at Papua Island) is the most east part
12. it has 5 big island (Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi, Papua) & thousands of small islands
and so sad facing the fact that : it's a RICH country with poor people.

Oh my goodness!!! Bad enough getting a question like "what is Indonesia". Then you see answer like " it is part of the Philippines, veit Nam, Malaysia and Jakarta, it is also near Australia"
Goes to show the truth about " a little knowledge is dangerous".
Indonesia is a country - YES, and as has been pointed out - a country made up of "17,508 islands" But it is NOT "part of the Philippines, veit Nam, Malaysia and Jakarta" - especially when Jakarta is Indonesia's capital!

Republic Indonesia is an island country, majoring near to Singapore, Indonesia has tropical climate and rain tropical forest. There's a lot interesting places like Bali island, we called it island of paradise, beside that there's Lombok island which is also have a beautiful beach. you also can see moutain in Indonesia. Indonesia has an unic culture and variety ethnic. if you like nature, Indonesia is the right place for travelling

Indonesia is a country in Southeast Asia, lying near Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, etc... There are let's say 250 million (250.000.000) people living there at the moment. The capital is named Jakarta. The country was colonized by *!@#$%^&* Dutch people. I can see, that you might be an Indonesian too (like me) because of your name, Rizal. It's a common name there; I don't know where you're from actually, but OK.

An archipelago of thousands of islands in far east Asia. The main islands are Java, Sumatra, Bali, Lombok. The capital of Java, the main island is Jakarta. It is situated just below Singapore and to the north east are the Phillipines. South east is Australia.

One of the most beautiful, scattered (hundreds of small islands), hospitable and steamy (weathewise) countries in the far east - next to Singapore and malaysia geogaphically speaking! If you're thining of going...ali for the 'beautiful people, Batam for real people!

it's a country in south east asia. It is the world's 4th most populous country and the largest archipelago(group of islands) in the world with around 18000 islands. It also happens to be the BEST country in the whole world and everyone should visit it!
