Thats very unfair his_dixie. You don't know the circumstances surrounding the abortion! It could have been for medical reasons so you are not in a place to judge if you don't know the full story.
Back to the OP, I would think bleeding would be normal for a couple of weeks after the abortion but 4 months is a long time. The bleeding could be something to do with the implant. I would suggest she goes to see her doctor to get it sorted out.
Hope this helps!

4 months is an awfully long time for anyone to be bleeding, however slight.
She should really go back to the Dr, just to make sure that there isn't any infection or any other problem after the termination. Some forms of contraception are prone to breakthrough bleeding but after 4 months it really should have settled down. Maybe she would be better off having a coil fitted or using the Depo-Provera injection (one jab every 3 months) for contraception, if the implants do not suit her.

If she had an abortion 4 months ago, I would not overlook anything....it is too soon after. Make sure you take her to her gynecologist. If there is something wrong and she finds what is wrong early the chance of harm or permanent infertility is not as great. I would not blame it on the implant. Abortion, no matter how early is a serious issue for a woman's body, and you should not second guess any of it. Go to the doctor to be safe.

Try to get her to see her GP and also go with her for support if needed.
