It's just an imaginary thing. If it was possible, people from the future would have visited us.

It was Albert Einstein who suggested that if you run around the globe with velocity double than that of light then you will be able to meet your own self after passing through your entire life span. This was just an imagination as such a high velocity is not practically achive able its just a theory. Though the scientists are trying to theritically set up a achine that can actually disintegrate through time.
I hope you are familiar with the black hole concept. If not, here's what the scientists believe,
The space and time are both interrelated i.e they are interwoven into each other just like a fishing net. Near the black hole this net mingles within itself hnce creating a phase in which time and matter does not have any meaning.
It is impossible to go even a few light years near the black hole but if it were possible for a person even to touch the boundary line of the black hole the tiem tiem for that person would practically stop. In simpler words if he would take 15 minutes to touch the boundary line and come back the earth would be 5000 years ahead from the time he left!!!!

Yes. There are people at the moment who are looking into building a time machine, but it is mainly just theory at the moment.
They did an experiment where they got 2 clocks which costed thousands to make (to make sure it's accurate) and set them both to the exact same time. They tested them both, they were fully accurate. We're talking about clocks which are full on accurate here.
They put one clock on a plane, and left the other where it was. Flew the plane all round the earth, and when it got back, there was about a 2second difference.
If we could build something which can travel heaps faster than what we can do at the moment with current technology, we would be able to travel through time.
One theory says that if this time machine ever gets built, it may be impossible to go back in time before the machine was built. So for example, if they built it today, and in 10years, the earliest they can go back in time is to today. So they can't go back to yesterday because the machine hasn't been built yet, and you can't go to the future unless you've just gone back in time. It's like elevators, you can't go to level -3 if the elevator to level -3 hasn't been built yet. You can't go to 2010 until 2010 has already happened. In 2010 you can go back to today, then go forward in time to 2010.

let me tell u about a type of particles, the takeions (i am not sure about the spelling but pronounce it as ta-ki-yo-n).
these particles have a very striking property, that there mass is imaginary i.e. it is m*(iota), where m is real.
due to this property the kinetic energy of the particle is -ve.
now consider an event in which a particle leaves a place, say A, and at a later time reaches a place, say B, then we can say that the energy of site A has reduced and that of B is increased. but if the particle is a takeion then the case will be other way round i.e. E of A will increase and that of B will decrease. so in other words we can say that the particle reached B before leaving from A, so it travelled back in time.
scientists are after such particles. we can hope to find such particles in near future. then possibly we can make time machine.

There is a concept and if one can travel at speeds greater than the speed of light, one can do time travel. Though these speeds are practically difficult, laboratory experiments have shown that it may be possible.
So the limiting factor is the speed of travel. To understand this, take the example of watching the evening sunset. In reality the sun that we see then is approximately 11 minutes older. Since the light reaches us after that 11 mins, we see it as our current snapshot of the sun. Conversely, if we travel at speeds faster than the speed of light, we would be able to overcome this limiting factor and go to the future.
Simply put, our current understanding puts time travel as a possibility (and it is a valid concept). But technology has not advanced so much as to provide us a vehicle achieve such high speeds! Hope this answers your question..

The concept of the time machine is a device that will allow you to travel into the past and the future.
The concept is simple, the application is impossible.
consider a time machine that was invented sometime in the past or to-day.
This device would branch out through time, the past and the future and instantly, they would exist every where.
Think about it in these terms not as a science-fiction item.
It is interesting to contemplate but it could not be.

tiem amchine is something that the people just wished for they dont have a big understanding about nor do they have concepts they must be having sum kind of a concept but it is just for a model or for an outline in detail there isnt sumthing like the timemachine
the time machine just exists becoz of ppl who say " i wish there was a timemachine to change what i did today.........or to see what i will do tommorow..........." otherwise who even new there was sumthign like that

Time machines are just a useful idea for science fiction stories. There is nothing like it in real life.

Yes, there is a scientific concept.
If someone can build a machine that Travel faster than light speed, he/she can go backward or forward in the time.
Albert Einstin gave this concept.

about the clocks:
yes if you build a fast enough transport, you will travel into the future (viewed by the eyes of the clock you left on earth.) because you will have aged say 2 years when you come back and the other clock 50years. so it`s kind of like you traveled 48 years into the future.
but you can never go into the past...

No such thing as a time machine. Just a sci-fi invention. There is no scientific fact behind time trave.
