I really hate them and they freak me out. I even think I heard one taunting me. How can I raise this issue with the teacher without sounding rude? She is big and fat and ugly...

I can see they're little bodies up there. I'm assuming they got stuck in there for some reason. Maybe they are playing hide and seek.

Hmm I used to wake up with scorpions (I lived in the desert) Dont piss em off.. that crap about it feels like a bee stings is just that CRAP.. its a LOT worse than a bee sting (who ever said that has obviously never been stung before)
Now if you are hearing them taunt you.. Umm you need a RX for some anti-psychotics most likely.. But I have a hard time believing they live in the lights.. Scorpions hate the light.. in fact exposure to UV (sunlight) just outright kills them they have no defense.. thats why they are called shadow hunters... Basically the oldest unchanged member of the arachnid family (spiders to you) alive today...
I kept and studied about 4 of them until one of em had babies.. sheesh.. lotta babies (most of which were eaten.. turns out a Scorpions fav food is another scorpion Go figure).. then i turned em loose back in the desert...
I'm not gonna make the assumption that you are talking about the Zodiac sign like some others have.. because that would even make less sense than you already do...

If they were taunting you, I highly doubt that they're Scorpians.
Twisted Sister most likely, but definitely not Scorpians.
