Dont think its crap, its only been going for 10-20 years compared to mens which started over 100 years ago. They have probably come alot further in a short space of time and most clubs are now going proffessional.

Because society dictates that it's not a mainstream prime-time sport. I can't name any female footballers but I can think of plenty of male footballers. If the media chose to, it could promote the womens game with the same enthusiasm as the mens game and eventually we'd all buy into it. It's consumerism.
