what ever happened to natural beauty?

today's ideal in America is big boobs (not big enough? lets stuff silicone in them!), blonde hair, a sloped nose, blue eyes, and lots of make up.

I mean how sad is it that a girl feels she needs to get surgery to become a clone just to feel pretty?

I want to know why we stopped appreciating natural beauty. the natural womanly shape, and everything we were born with, or at least things that compliment what we were born with instead of making us look like porn stars. your thoughts on this? what do YOU think is pretty?

I agree with you. But living a life where everybody is obsessed about celebrities, fashion, and being thin is just something that we cannot escape.
With shows like 'Extreme Maekover' and 'Dr. 90210', it makes people with low self-esteem think poorly about themselves. Basically, it brainwashes people to think that they should look a certain way.
It's ridiculous. But thats life, and really not just one person can change it. Seriously, if you think about it, what celeb is the "normal" weight after having kids (Heidi Klum- she's had three kids and is like 100 lbs- its not good for your health either!!) or admits that he/she doesn't work out or diet, or loves being curvy and 150 lbs??!!!
Everyone says blame it on the media. But its the kind of work that they are in which is stupid. If say Halle Berry weighed in at 230 lbs- no film casting agent will hire her, because they think that their movie wont sell becasue a fat chick is the star. Wrong! I would be more likely to see a movie with a "normal" person in the movie than I would I damn twig!
Now, I think that confidence is beautiful. A girl or a guy with confidence is damn sexy to me! <----- but not too cocky! Also, a woman that has natural curves is the most flattering thing instead of big boobs that are not porportioned with her tiny body frame. It doesn't look right. Makes them look non-human.

I agree with you, Kylie. It is not so much natural as everybody looking the same. Cause that is what is happening. Everyone is changing their faces and hair so they look the same, and that is so boring. I don't want to live in a world where everyone looks like Kristin Cavallari, thanks. It does make women look like porn stars, and I don't think that is pretty at all.
