you will have to go upto dadar and take asiad buses from there. that is the most common and convenient way to travel between mumbai and pune. private taxis, both exclusive and shared can also be taken but the asiad buses are very comfortable. beware do not fall into the trap of private buses. PS: asiad buses have a frequency of every half hour between mumbai and pune starting at 4 am and the last bus is at midnight.

I would suggest that you book a Cab that runs from mumbai - pune. You will be able to avail of this service from the Airport itself. However if you would need any help then the airport authorities will help you as they have cabs that they will help you to rent .

Take a taxi. The Mumbai Pune highway is safe and fast. I suggest that you call my friend Kadir who has a very reliable taxi service for many years. He will send you a good driver who will pick you up with a sign at the airport. Call 0091 9822197467.

I recommend NOT to take pre-paid taxis at the airport. Tired drivers, overpriced, a rip-off.

MR. ABCL has provided a good answer. In case you are not willing to splurge so much moolah, you might consider taking a Volvo bus to Pune which will take approximately the same time to reach Pune.

You can get a pre-paid cab from the Pre-paid taxi booth just near the exit of arrivals area at airport. At 11.30 pm, I believe thats the best and safest way of going to Pune.
Have a safe trip!

1. Take a train from Andheri to Mumbai CST and then take any train which goes from Mumbai to Pune.
2. Take a train from Andheri to Dadar and then go to Hindmata Bus Stop at Dadar to take bus which goes to Pune.
3. Rent a car to go to Pune.
