Alittle common sense folks...

If you are answering "yes" to this question and then using this thread as a platform to bash "the other party" you are contradicting your answer.

The national interest should supersede the party. Whatever it takes to protect us!

Your writing is a breath of fresh air. You've go it! Hard to do though. It takes courage to stand for what is right, especially when it is not popular. With all of the name calling and mud slinging going on, if I were an enemy of America I'd be sitting back laughing my tail off. In these perilous times in which we live, I wish folks today understood the national Spirit, effort and sacrifice it took to win WWII. The United States was considered the underdog. Many countries did not expect us to rebound after we lost over 1/3 of our Naval fleet at Pearl Harbor. Women went to work in munitions plants, kids did recycling drives and grew gardens. Everyone rationed food items, tires and gasoline. A classic example of serving the National interest. Didn't matter the political affiliation.

Yes, but we see that a few of the Republicans now have put their political aspirations above the interests of the American people. Changing their political stance, more interested in re-election and running for President than doing what is right, running with the polls.

i'm an autonomous, extra conservative than liberal. i don't have a occasion association. The tea events are non violent demonstrations that the form helps and it is between the ideal methods for individuals to voice their critiques. i'm in desire of any non violent demonstration regardless of the undertaking. i don't see revolution as being achieveable. Our government is thoroughly out of control. Politicians see themselves as a ruling elite and us as their matters. If the politicians can't get it straight away, in the event that they could't positioned occasion politics aside in desire or what's ideal for the rustic, then it's time for the citizenry to take to the streets.

Always! That is just one of the reasons that I am an Independent. That is why I am disgusted with our two party system. Both sides put themselves above what is good for the country.

It is. Never compromise until there is nothing else. Not really compromise is good on some issues. As to what I would compromise on well that is not something you would put out front unless you cared nothing about it. In compromise you must make your opponent feel that they have fought hard and won on a matter that you actually thought they were right on.

If it is your political party of choice obviously in most cases you think what that party is doing is in the national interest and what the other party is doing is not. If you are asking whether to always agree with your party the answer is that you should think for yourself.

The national interest is always above politics. If your politics are against your country's best interest, you must be a Republican. You're not Dick Cheney, are you? I've said to much...
