if i keep my friends hard disk in my CPU for testing whether the Hard disk is working or not, then is there any chance of effect visus in my PC?

If that hard disk have virus it can be harmful to your HDD So first check the disk with antivirus then transfer the data.

if you do not want data trans fur you want only check the detection of the HDD, you can. But if you trans fur the data from one to another it may be harm full.

There is 200% chance of your system catching virus.Hard disk is both readable and writable a powerful virus can easily intrudes even without opening it.

This is not the case with CD/DVD because these are READONLY unless you open/copy the file containing virus your system will not be affected

Yes,Make sure you have installed anti virus s/W in u'r PC and enable auto protection.Scan the friend's HDD before open files in it

Ur HD wil work and consider ur HD as secondary one.
If virus s ther in ur HD, den it wont affect the already available HD.

If you use friend's hard disk as primery , it will not get virus, otherwise may get if yr computer has one.
