So basically, I broke up with my toxic friend, she is now telling everyone she meets that she was friends with me for about 7 years and that I was faking being friends with her the whole time, etc.. etc.

She's ranting on myspace, and on campus of the college where I'm going next year.

I would like to post a blog, but I don't want to sound immature, like she's sounding, because our mutual friends have stopped talking to me, and I would like to know what I should say...?

I go to write, but I'm kinda stressed and overwhelmed, I want to sound mature about this, but I don't see how you can...?

the whole reason i want to write something is because our mutual friends seem to only be believing her lies and her side of the story...etc. I'd like to convince them i'm a decent person...etc...

The best thing to do would be to ignore her and do not let her see that anything she says is bothering you. However, if you feel you must write something wait until you are calm and thinking clearly so you will not seem so stressed & overwhelmed. If you feel that writing things out would make you feel better just write a long e-mail to yourself. Then if you still feel the need to blog it you can just blog your e-mail after giving it some thought.

When will the words, "Toxic" and "Friend", ever be in the same Sentence. Answer? NEVER! She ain't your Friend. She's a User. Only hang with your FriendS. Not Users! End of Story.

You are doing the best thing. No one who is truly your friend would act this way or believe someone who does. Make new friends and forget those. Eventually, the friends who like her now will be treated the same way by her and will then understand.

best to just ignore people like this, the more u say the worse it gets. if u ignore it the person will stop, as there won't be a reaction from u. she is no friend of yours, best to avoid people like this. don't respond to her rantings, it will be her who is known for this, people will begin to see her for who she is, don't feed the situation with a response, and it will die all on its own.

I'd leave it, if I were you. Your other "true" friends won't believe what she is spreading. Don't let the toxic one egg you on further...
