Turkey and Spain fought for the Germans in World War Two.
Many nations, including the Russians themselves and even the British fought for the Germans. The Waffen S.S. had whole battalions, brigades and in some cases even Divisions of foreign troops fighting for them throughout World War Two.
In Stalingrad, the Spanish 1st Infantry Division was awarded a campaign medal for its one year of fighting the Russians. During that same conflict the 1st and 2nd S.S. Cavalry Divisions fought the Soviets. Both of those Cavalry units were composed of nothing but Russian soldiers fighting against Josef Stalin, then the leader of the Soviet Union.
Turkey supplied mostly technicians and mechanics in a host of smaller units that essentially fixed things or built things for the Germans predominantly in the Balkans and the Soviet Union.
The rest of Europe back then had decided that the Turks were 'sub-humans' and had cut them off from aid and support. Britain and America both refused to deal with Turkey or Spain as did the Soviet Union. Germany had always treated the Turks and the Spanish fairly. Why would they help Britain and America when Britain and America would not help them?

Turkey was with Germany during both World Wars. Only at the end of the WW2 Turkey withdrew from the group(Germany, Japan, Turkey, Italy) when they saw that Germany was losing. Why they were fighting for Germany? because they were power hungry with the mentality of a barbarian "I want all that is not mine, and I will take it no metter what".
