Disco Duck was by Rick Dees, an LA-based DJ. I agree, it was lame.

King Tut was by Steve Martin--and no way was it ignorant; that's classic satire! (Perhaps you aren't old enough to remember when the King Tut exhibit came to the U.S. and what a friggin big deal people made of it--that show was ripe for cutting down.)
