Yes you can save them provided that you have:

1.) backward compatibility for version 1 games installed in your xbox 360.

2.) a hard drive or a memory unit.

If you have both, then you should be able to do so, just like your other 360 games, you can even include your version 1 games in your own gamer profile for easier access. ^_^

yup, when you play a xbox game on the 360, it will work just like it did on the original xbox. Saves will store on the hard drive, just like before

yes you save it to the hard drive but you have to select the storage device which you can use ether a 20 gigabyte hard drive or a 64MB memory card but you wont be able to use any old memory card you have to use a xbox 360 memory card
