Yes, and people should be ashamed of themselves.

At the height of the hysteria the headlines in the paper were all 'Jade Racist' rubbish and inside on page 6, lower left, hardly even bold typed was 'British soldier killed in Iraq'. I doubt it even got printed in the tabloids.

It's a sad reflection of the way this country is heading when the kind of pond-life behaviour that was being exhibited is not just turned off at source but publicised and shoved down everyone's throats for weeks.

Don't get me wrong, I think bullying is disgusting and that racism, if indeed that's what it was, needs stamping on from a great height, BUT, it was a TV show-they were put under close quarter conditions in order to produce exactly what happened-people from opposite ends of the social strata disagreeing, they were all adults(at least by the legal definition anyway), and were free to leave at any time.

If it had been afforded the headline space and publicity it deserved in the first place,(ie NONE), there would have been a lot less damage and heartache caused all around.

The next time someone starts producing a reality show I suggest that instead of putting the most uninteresting, self-absorbed, shallow, ignorami you can find in the public eye they try some intelligent, interesting, witty, socially aware adults and turn off the shower-cam.

Or more ideally stop producing it and give the money they would have spent to charity.

If you are talking about the 3 from BB then yes people have taken them far too seriously. Its sad when things like that are taken more seriously than the war in Iraq, poverty etc.
