Depends on what you want to ask about.

If all you know is Farsi then all you can learn is what is written in Farsi. If all you know is English then all you can learn is what is written in English. However, many, many, many times more books are written in English than in Farsi. Also very few of the books written in English ever get translated into Farsi or Arabic. (The UN said last year that more books are translated into Spanish in one year than have been translated into Arabic in the last 1,000 years.) Therefore people who can speak English have the opportunity to know more things, simply because more books about more things are written in English.

Why is that? English speaking countires have a long tradition of free speech. In short, in English speaking countires you can write, say, or print anything you want, and nobody is going to put out a fatwah on you, or have you killed like Theo Van Gogh. That is why so much more is written and published in English than in Arabic or Farsi.

So if what you want to ask about is something that people who speak Farsi would know more about than people who speak English (and besides a few religious issues I can't think what that would be) then by all means ask in Farsi. If you want to know about anything else then you should probably ask in English.

Good luck!

If you want English speakers to answer your questions then it is probably a good idea to ask them in English. There are many English speaking people who also speak Farsi but whether any of them will read your questions is a matter for conjecture.

There is no restriction on what language you use but it just may effect your answer.

Go ahead but that will probably limit your responses.
