It sounds like what you want is a ephemeris of the Earth. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has an on-line ephemeris system, see the link below.

I used the Horizons system to find the Sun's distance on 2007-01-29, 12:00 UT; distance = 0.984925303304645 AU

1 AU= 149 597 870.691 km

Horizons can be used to find the position of just about any natural solar system body.

The distance of Earth from Sun is slightly variable with time, beacause the orbit is an ellipse instead of a circumference.
