I know a lot of people ask these questions & I know a simple answer is to take a pregnancy test - which I will do, but in the meantime I'd just like some feedback on others experiences. I have been sleeping with my partner frequently around the time I ovulate so I was aware pregnancy was possible. However I recently finished my period which lasted longer than normal (about 8 days) and my breasts which were sore and firmer due to PMT have gone down as expected. Therefore to me this concluded I was NOT pregnant. But this week I have been feeling increasingly tired, have slight pinky discharge today and felt queasy this morning. Has anyone had a period to go on & find they are pregnant? No silly answers please, just want to know others experiences before I take the test. Thanks

Also if you did find out you were, what reasons made you start thinking you could be pregnant even though you had a period?

It is possible to have a period when you conceive or when you are pregnant. I had a period and got pregnant at the same time according to the doctor for when I conceived. What made me think I was pregnant was I didn't have a period for 2 months and was sick for a week and a half straight-thought I had the flu. Everyone was telling me I was pregnant and I did not believe them because every test came up negative. I also had PCOS. But finally another test said positive and then I went to the doctor. I was already 8 weeks pregnant! That is how long it took for the hormone to be detected on the HPT!

It is not technically possible to have a period while you are pregnant, but some women do experience bleeding that can seem like a period in the early months of pregnancy. This bleeding would usually be lighter than a normal period.
I'm sure that lots of people on here will tell you they had this kind of bleeding when pregnant, but a missed period is the classic sign of pregnancy, so it's not the norm.
I did not have a period once I was pregnant and have had no bleeding during my pregnancy.

of course. I'm pregnant for the third time and twice I still had a period for the first 2 months of pregnancy. Everyones body is different. If you think you could be pregnant see your ob/gyn or purchase a pregnancy test to confirm.

Mother-in-law had a normal period but a week later kept feeling sick, she went to the doctor and he did a blood test, came back she was pregnant, she said how I just had my period, and he said that it was normal and a lot of women have their periods and still our pregnant. The body works is crazy ways, their is a possibility to anything.

hello. I am 10 weeks pregnant and i am still having periods.

The best thing you can do is either take a pregnancy test or get the doctor to take a blood test as this can pick up early stages of pregnancy.

Good Luck

Well, you could very well be pregnant. The discharge could actually be the fertilized egg implanting in your uterus. Implantation occurs 7-10 days after Ovulation. You may have a little spotting along with implantation, faint twinges of pain, or scant spotting when you would have expected your period or spotting when you expected nothing.

However, the Dr. said it was my hormones gave me 3 pills, take 1 a day. It stopped and I had a 8lb4oz healthy boy.
