If your so far gone then i think its unfair im 16 weeks and on my scan i can even see my babys toes so i know my baby has every thing. If its very early and thats the persons decsion then they may want to. I could never have an abortion, I would never put myself in that situation anyway. If anyone is stupid enough to have unprotected sex then they should face up to it.

Most states don't allow it after 14 weeks, so that should tell you something.
I think it gets harder and harder to decide if it is "right" as the pregnancy goes on.
I had an abortion at 6 weeks. I'm now 11 weeks (and happily keeping it), and I tell my husband all the time that the more I know about how developed the baby is, the more of a problem I have even thinking about some women doing it. By 16 weeks, the baby has all its organs, and is really thriving in there. I think it would be very hard for someone to do it at that point.

To be truly honest I really don't know. I have a lot of conflicting feelings on this. One thing I know for sure is that the decision is never ever easy and that it is not as straightforward as everyone thinks. For example if a 13 year old is raped and becomes pregnant but doesn't know until she is 14 weeks preganant because she has only just started menstruating and her periods are erratic should she be denied an abortion? Personally I didn't think twice about keeping my daughter when I got pregnant at 17 and she is now a beautiful 5 yr old, but some people are not as headstrong and bloody stubborn as me. I think it all comes down to circumstance and you can't make sweeping generalisations, you have to consider every factor. There is no right or wrong answer here, just one very difficult decision.

Think of it this way, at 16 weeks your child's for is fully developed, thay have fingers toes and most internal organs. They can also hear what happens in the outside world. I believe it is no better than murder. If you unwilling to go through 40 weeks of pregnancy, don't have sex. Fair enough some people could not cope with the child, maybe pregnant too young ext. Try another usefull tool begining with an A, Adobtion, not abortion.
Any idea how thay abort a child after a certain amount of time. i can assue you it is not pleasent. I will spare you all the details but you really aught to look it up on the net.

Hi
My opinion is yes all abortion is wrong especially after 16 weeks. If a person is willing to have sex then the person should be willing to face the consequences of their actions. It's a bit like saying is it wrong for a person to go to jail after they commit a crime. A baby born at 20 weeks is able to survive with medical intervention and if a miscarriage/stillborn happens after 20weeks the baby is classed as 'viable' and has to be buried. Sometimes abortions are needed due to medical reasons such as problems with the fetus. Things like ectopic pregnancy cause the mother serious life threatening problems and the baby doesn't survive past a few weeks gestation either. But if a woman gets pregnant and just doesn't want the baby then she should have been more careful. There are plenty of couples out there who can't have kids don't kill it adopt it!
Go and have a look at these pictures and tell me it's not murder

The bigger the baby is the harder it is to abort. They chop it up. The baby suffers so much pain as it's hacked to pieces, is that a humane thing to do? Would you do it to a baby that's already been born? It's heartbreaking and sick and murderous.

I personally are pretty sure that I could not go through with an abortion, but I think in some circumstances abortions should be avalible for women who need them. I personally think that if a women wants an abortion then it should be carried out within the first trimester, but I know Ill get slated as it all about human right of the women, etc. I can understand that some women are faced with difficult decisions if they find out theres something wrong with the baby but I suppose in that case Im proof in the pudding as when my mother was pregnant with me she was advised to have an abortion as they were as sure as they could be that I had spina bifida and would not live longer than a few years. My mother was devasted but went against professional advice and had a healthy child, me! No spina bifida!

At 6 weeks old the baby is already formed. It is tiny, tiny but still a little life. I believe that should there be something drastically wrong with the unborn child and the child would end up mentally and physically unstable yes . But just because you have had a bit of fun a few weeks ago and now want an abortion then no. There are enough precaustions on the market to prevent pregnancies.

i think that anyone considering it should be shown pictures of aborted babies of the same age as the child they carry.
it really brings home what they want to do.
most ppl think it's nothing but a blob of tissue, when in fact a baby is very very humanly formed early on in the pregnancy (6-8 weeks they have FINGERS and TOES! they don't look like a mass of tissue they look like tennie tiny humans.).
i do not wish ANY ill will towards the ppl that want this "choice" open for themselves. I'm sure they have their....reasons.
and I'm not going to sit on some sort of religious pedestal and preach down at ppl, mostly because I'm NOT religious in any shape of the word....
but basically i think that pregnant women (and their partners if they are involved at all) should be made aware of just WHAT it is that they are wanting to get 'rid' of.
education is power.
truth is truth no matter what side you are on here, and the simple truth is that life IS being stopped. whether you consider that life valuable or not is up to you, and on your conscious.
i myself, knowing what a baby looks like at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 12 weeks etc etc etc. can NEVER have an abortion. but then, whenever i have found myself pregnant i was immediately connected to my child, and could never wish them harm.

i think its sad that a women needed 16 weeks to decide whether she wanted a baby or not, so yes i feel this is wrong, she could have made this decision at 6 weeks. Not only is she aborting a fully grown baby shes also hurting herself mentally and physically.

I cannot understand how anybody could abort a baby after 16 weeks whether there was something wrong with it or not. You'd have thought a woman would have made a decision much earlier on if she wanted to abort a perfectly normal fetus. I think it's very selfish & unforgivable.
