I use it in the catbox. It is absorbent, kills odor, easy to dispose of. You can shred it or not. But make sure you use a plastic bag that envelopes the box first, then fill it with the paper. When you want to clean the box, you just take the whole bag and throw it out.

1. Line a pet's cage
2. Temporary insulation, say to seal a draft in the window
3. Wrap a present, if you're cheap (Sunday comics work nicely for that)

You can use it to light the fire, or shred it and put it in the compost. You can also use it to pack parcels. Best of all though, is don't read newspapers, they never have news in and they waste wood.

You can make it into a type of papier-mache and buy a machine that makes them into paper logs that can burn for hours, if you have a fire place to burn them on.

donate it to some nursery school or something and they use it to protect their desks when they are doing paintwork - or use it to make paper collages or whatever..
u can also take it to an animal shelter - i'm sure they can put it to good use..
