yes it will, but not very much. If something emits more energy then it must use more energy.
Tell him he probably used more energy telling you that, than actually turning up the volume would (ps. unproven)

hmm...yes...yes....and .....yes
i have considered a primitive circuitery composed of a fixed potential supply, a rheostat and a speaker.changing the volume would imply varying the resistance in the circuit.when connected in series or in parralel,i have found out that lowering the resistance of the rheostat would cause the speaker to run at a higher power and consequently the source having to deliver more energy.with the components connected in parallel, got to the same result. and again while varying the potential difference if the source is a potential divider only or both along with the resistance, the energy needed when increasing the volume never falls below the energy needed at a lower volume.:)

Yes it does, but it takes so much electricity to drive the picture tube it's neglible. Unless you have an LCD...
You have an amplifer in the TV for sound, if you increase the volume, you are increasing the amplitude of the sound, or increasing the energy of the sound wave. The energy comes from electricity.

Definitely - more sound = more energy = more electricity.
Speakers have wattage ratings. Even my small rear sourround sound speakers are rated at 90w. Not sure how volume relates to energy usage, but I'd have thought it would be measurable, especially if you have a surround sound system with 6+ speakers.

Not enough to notice on your electic bill.
The difference could be measured in milliwatts. It would take 1,000,000 milliwatts to get one KiloWatt which is what electic bills are based on.
