Unless you're fairly new to the job scene, they are pretty much irrelevant.
You will have to put your results down in any CV or job application, but its is _very rare_ that you will be asked to show the actual certificates.

so, as long as you know your actual results, dont worry too much about getting replacements

You will be able to order duplicates through the examining board that ran the exam - there are quite a few boards so you will need to identify which.

You will find all certificates are relevant - more and more employers in London now ask to see your certificates - all of them if you have them, the most relevant to the job if you are unable to locate the rest. It is nothing to do with age or experience - they want more evidence due to fake IDs being used and also people not being truthful about their qualifications.

Find out who may have issued your certificates, best bet will be from any coursework or your school. www.aqa.org.uk or www.ocr.org.uk are most likely ones as they cover a lot of examining boards. You can ring them and ask them if they are likely to cover your area and you can download a form to send off with all your details in. It costs about £32 I think for a replacement

The person who said they are irrelevant don't know what they are talking about.I started university last September but I nearly lost my place because i couldn't prove my exam results. I had to write to all the examining boards i thought i had taken exams with and obtain copies. In the end it cost me about £70 but it was worth it in the end. Depending on where you live start with AQA as they are one of the largest. Then try Edexel. For O levels and CSEs (sorry, don't know your age) try AQA then they will direct you to the right board. If they don't have your details you will get your money back. It is best to ask them to try at least 1 year either side of date you took your exams and supply as much details as possible to assist them in searching their archives.Good luck

Not a problem, it happens all the time. Contact the examination board whose GCSEs you took (if you aren't sure, your school can probably tell you). The board will have records, and if you supply the necessary ID and any fee required they will issue duplicate certificates.

Contact the examination board whose GCSE you sat and they can usually supply you with a replacement but they are allowed to charge what they like and charges vary from trivial to OMG how much!
