I once knew a baby named Kian. He was the most happy, cheerful bub I have ever seen. He was so gorgeous with big blue eyes and curly blonde hair. So I'd have to say I prefer Kian.

Liam is a reduction of William so just naming the child Liam is sort of odd. Kian sounds like a girls name to me.

Kian is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "ancient".Its a very rare name .While Liam is also of Irish, Gaelic origin it is a variation of William.

I prefer Liam for aboy because Kian sounds like a name for a girl and I actually know a girl called "Kiyan."

I prefer Liam but I like Cian too,I'm Irish so that how its usually spelt at home anyway.
I think Liam is a better choice people pronounce Kian/Cian in loads of different ways.....often not to your taste.
