Personally.....I love the game...
I love to see passionate people wearin India Tshirts, painting their hair, faces and bodies in the color of our flag...children carryin flags that are larger than themselves...!!
I love watchin India play Cricket..and in the same way...i LOVE watching INDIANS WATCH CRICKET!!...haha
This is truly THE ONLY thing that gets us all together..
young and old, male and female, hindu or muslim etc..
When India matches are played...any1 asks any1 for the score!!Haha ...unknown ppl start discussin the game, players, tactics and scores..
ITS AWESUM...truly heart warmin!

Cricket brings India together.
Any emotional event also brings the nation together.Shilpa Shetty is the latest example.

hi !!
very interesting question:really good one !!
(and i mean it:i'm not saying that to turn this into a ten pointer!)
cricket does bring the nation together:when we cheer during a match we cheer for INDIA ,we cheer for the MEN IN BLUE who represent US!!we don't cheer individually for cricketers towards whom we have community loyalty:certainly not!!
when irfan plays at vadodora the crowd gets excited but that doesn't mean they will turn cold and abuse if sreesanth gets wickets !!
therefore it's the larger interest that matters not community loyalty!!
as for the game it rocks!!
i love to watch cricket and i don't think i waste my time by doing that!!
cheers and god bless:-)

Yes, when sreesanth from kerala and veeru from punjab (or, dhoni) mix well with dravid and karthik and kumble and laxman and sachin and pathan and kaif and yuvraj -- the whole 'mera bharath mahan' is on view: and when we win from team performance, India does come through well as a Natiion!

sheer waste of time........
the game as such is very good if played in right spirit and upto the best of ability of the team....
but the indian team is least bit interested in the team winning the game or the players are least bit bothered about their fitness, winning the game.
they are bothered about only how many products they are ambassadors for.

yes it does bring India together.
This fact need to be considered by our selector while choosing players who represent India.
It should only be based on Merritt not on the greatness of the player.
