My question is, would it be safe to get induced now instead of waiting, because I want to talk to my doctor about it, but I was just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this. I just found out too that because of the gd, my baby is really big. I don't understand how I am going to be able to go another four weeks if the baby is already too big. Isn't that dangerous? If anyone has any experience with gestational diabetes please help!

Please don't work yourself into a frenzy over this. While it is serious enough to be concerned about, getting all stressed before you speak to the doctor is neither good for you or your little baby. Sit back, take a deep breath, pray a little and go see the doctor tomorrow and ask him all of your questions. He will set your mind at ease and do everything that needs to be done to give you a good delivery and a happy baby. And make a list of your questions so you don't forget anything when you get there. Congratulations on the new baby and I'll pray for you to have a wonderful and safe delivery.

You got the right idea about talking to your doctor. But most likely he will tell you to wait. My friend had the same problem and she was so scared. But there really isn't anything to be scared about. With modern medicine and great doctors these days you are in good hands. I would wait but do talk to your doctor. My friend had to have a C-Section. That is the safes way. Good luck and I hope this helps. Oh yeah the baby is doing great and the mother is doing great too.

My wife too had gestational diabetes. Her gynae referred her to a dietecian to control her diet. Once the diabetes was in control the gynae did induce her about 10 days earlier. My advice, listen to what ur gynae has to say.

Well you are correct bigger baby does not mean healthy baby. Consult your doctor. Ask about treatment for the diabetes.

This isn't something you should leave to strangers to answer for you. Please see your doctor and only ask trusted friends instead of risking people who give you bad advice concerning your health and the health of your child.
