Or are Brits seen as "not that bad" by most Islamists?

Perhaps they do but it was not always so. Britain's poor colonial record in Muslim countries hasn't done it any favours in the eyes of many (Pakistan, Sudan, Palestine etc). Most Islamic militants have only hated the USA since it became an ally of Israel.

Hello,

There is a distinction between the Islamists and Muslims that you haven't made clear. It's sort of the same distinction that there is between Judaism and Zionism. Islamists want a political system in place in whatever state they are..Muslims are just normal, non-political, every day people...

Now that I've cleared that up, I just want to make clear that I have nothing against the British or Americans. Yes, I am against American foreign policy, and I was disappointed that Tony Blair went along with it all..but the mass demonstrations here in the UK prove that to hate an entire nation and to generalise is simply misguided..

I hope you get the point I'm trying to make here. I hope all this hatred that I have seen on this site ends soon as nothing good will come from it.

Anyway thanks for your question, I hope I've given you at least one opinion from a Muslim that you can go by, and use it as a base for your judgements..

peace

You need to ask a muslim this question but most folk wouldn't for the fear of saying something that offends them.I think that if different cultures want to live in Britain then learn to mix and stop this politically correct bull ****.If you don't like it go somewhere else.

Scene 1
Bush:Iraq has mass destruction weapon, let's attack it before it destroys the whole world.
Tony Blair:ok let's do it
Scene 2
iraq is totally destroyed
People are living in a total chaos
the petroleum is stolen
Saddam is arrested
Scene 3
the world is wondering where those mass destruction weapons are.
Scene 4
Bush:I'm totally sorry that I've done that.

my comment:What the hell is going on??
u don't start a war for something that doesn't exist and then end it by simply saying I'm sorry.

we don't hate the UK and the USA,people living there are just like us,have nothing to do with what is going on.it's the governments that we despise, the way they deal with things seems so Chaotic
and at the end they blame us.ain't it funny??

Fanatics see them as such, though Queen Victoria, Penis Clinton and others from both countries used to take their side, for some reason, in different conflicts.

I know many fundamentalist Christians see the US & UK in that light, I"m not sure about Muslims as that referance is from the "Book of Revelations of St.John the Devine"

"Soapbox Rab" if what you say is true about Muslims hating everyone who isn't, than they have more in common with Christians than I thought. As a "good" Christian, we know only Christians can enter Heaven.

I know the whole thing is a" crock "but it's what is taught, ask Jerry Falwell, he'll set you straight. (Unintentional play on words there)

I don't think you can say 'muslims' in general.

If you meant fundamentalist muslims, then they see the entire 'infidel world' (non-believers/non-followers of islam)as one beast and they try to fight against it. You can see it clearly because of all the conflicts in the world, Islam is the common element.

after the July 7th bombing in London, a local poll found that 11% of Muslims in the UK felt the attack was justified.

I don't think Muslims are playing "favorites"......anyone that supports terrorism shall be destroyed.
