This is my point. Whenever you ask some Christians about homosexuality they will tell you that it's absolutely wrong and all people gay will go to hell.
My point is that Jesus told us to "love thy neighbour" it is the most inportant comandment and by neighbour he meant everyone.
It is not for us to "judge" people, no one knows who will go to heven and who will go to hell. That is for God to decide on judgment day. We were simply given guidelines for OUR SELVES (not for judging others) to live our lives by and the instruction to love everyone else.
It makes me so sad to see my fellow Christians with so much hatered and judgement for others. That is not why God gave us the comandments. They were not ment as weppons to point fingers at others they were ment as a reference to live our OWN lives by.
I don't know if gay people will go to hell simply for being gay (I hope not) that is between them and God on judgement day and bacically non of our business. As long as they aren't herting anyone there is absolutely no reason for anyone to judge and discriminate against them.

I guess we are talking about homosexuality? If we are then we will be on the same page.
Most people have indifferences. Homosexuality is a major issue. Often parents go through questions like, Did i do something wrong? Was because of me? Was it my genes or yours? Ect. Then you have the homosphobic people, often they had the issue facing themselves at one time or another. Sometime the issue was not pleasurable at all. Other times it may have been, but they were reared in homes were it was just not accepted or tolerated or even never spoke of. Just to many reasons why someone may be drastically against homosexuality, rather it be someone else or the person themselves.
If people could become with a familur acceptance for why it happends, maybe then we will see less hate and more tolerance. Yet so far science has been unable to prove it is in the genes, and many people have their own ideas. So we have people with various ideas.
What we all should understand is that homosexuality is constructed, just as hetrosexuality is. If we all could understand and agree on this alone it would help .
The Formula For Constructing A Homosexual
This formula can be illustrated in this way: A Predisposition
Toward Homosexuality Plus That First Homosexual Experience
Multiplied By Pleasurable and Positive Homosexual Thoughts
To Which Is Added More Homosexual Experiences Multiplied By More Pleasurable Thoughts Constructs A Homosexual.
The Formula For constructing A Hetrosexual
This formula can be illustrated in this way: A Predisposition
Toward hetrosexuality Plus That First Hetrosexual Experience
Multiplied By Pleasurable and Positive Hetrosexual Thoughts
To Which Is Added More Hetrosexual Experiences Multiplied By
More Pleasurable Thoughts Constructs A Hetrosexual.
Then we could focus on the paticulaurs with what causes predispositioning.
then we still need to understand according to the Holy bible today, that God did give up some people to their own desires. This is sadly known. Sorrow for those, and as a christian we should pray for those we feel need prayer.
Because as a christian, we no God can give his grace to anyone he chooses. We do not claim to know his plan, no not for any one certain or any person, because that is for God to know. We do know that the two commandments Jesus christ readly talked about, Love god more than anything else, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.
So this should teach us tolerance for all people. Prayer and kindness. Yet it is just as important to talk of what God says is of his plan and what is not.
But we should all remember:
"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor HOMOSEXUALS, nor SODOMITES, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Co 6:9-10)
"AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Co 6:11)
This should suggest that Gods' grace can be given to a homosexual. And it is not us that should think we can decide when. In fact we should understand it could even take a lifetime for someone before God changes a person according to his plan.

Its not hate actually, the old testament commands were given to Jews and jewish proselytes. However the New testament does override the old testament because we are under the new covenent and the teachings of Jesus are differant to the Jewish teachings ie abstaining from Pork, not working on the sabbath et.c However some things are the same for example the commandment to abstain from homosexuality or not worship idols, etc. Also the Gospel contained in 1st corinithians fifteen tells us exactly that Jesus christ died was buried and rose again on the third day. An essential belief for salvation. However the old testatment was superceded by jesus teachings defnitely. For it says that if we preach another Gospel than the one which was preached by jesus and te apostle Paul we will be cursed of God. Galatians 1.8,9 . This is what Jesus thinks of religions like Islam and Judaism. DOCTRINES OF DEVILS!

Actually, I am quoting your details, it never said in the OT that people should kill someone who is gay nor does it say anything about being gay as a sin.It merely states that man shall not ly with man as with woman. This could be interpreted many different ways.It could mean that when you lay with a man he must not be dressed as a woman.
To answer your question on the behalf of the fundies, the NT is about love and peace and not judging others and so forth. But when a man or woman has hate in their heart and a Bible in their hands, all they can see and all they can understand is how to turn the good news into a weapon of hate without ever even knowing what the Bible actually says.

Well you answered your own question. Just look at what is happening in the middle east. Jews against Muslims. Its religons like these that advocate neandethal qualities in man. I will kill your family if you kill mine. Now which civilized country will tolerate religons of that magnitude?????????
No matter how they try to manipulate the media and try worm themselves out of this, no man or woman has the right to take life away from one another.
The new testament states to follow the laws of man as well as what you mentioned, Love thy neighbour. It is very hard to adhere to such spiritual law. I believe this law is what differentiates man from animal. And as for Muslims and Jews, they will never live in peace unless they convert.
Many Christians misconcieve the idea that only those who believe in Christ will go to heaven. Everyone will be judged according to their qualities and beliefs. Even an athiest can enter heaven on the condition he is of pure heart. How can God himself expect you to love your enemy if he is to condem them later. The notion of repentence is a journey for all to practice. What many Christians are not aware of is the 12 questions that will be posed to them on the second coming after they die.

I am a born again Christian and filled with The Holy Spirit.I love everyone no matter what.Jesus said to love everyone that overrides everything.Every human is a sinner.Jesus said if you break one commandment you broke them all,I know we all lied at some point in our life.So then that means we broke all 10 commandments. Then He said if you do these two you have done all the commandments and those 2 are love me with all your heart and love everyone. That is set in stone.I love you.God bless

Yes it does, to Christians.
Fundamentalism involves the stripping away of what is perceived to be superfluous and the interpretation of what remains. The problem is that, too often, what is removed is the accepted (true) meaning and what is left is interpreted as justification for the vilification or persecution of others.

Selective memory. They conveniently "forget" the rest of what the bible says, and focus only on what they want to hear.
