wouldnt that be just awful? i have 2 sons old enough to go. the thought just makes me sick..what do you think?

I wouldn't like it much if there were a draft, but it may come to that. Ideally there would always be enough volunteers willing to serve their country. It's unfortunate that freedom isn't free! It breaks my heart to hear of any of our brave soldiers losing their life to protect mine [and all Americans]. I thank God that my son-in-law just recently safely returned from Iraq. The oldest of my 7 grandsons is 12 yrs. old and it scares me to death to think of any of them having to go to war--but this is a world born of 9/11 and we'd better not ever forget what happened that day. If we do, we are inviting those who hate America [unjustly I might add] to attack us again! God bless America and those who protect her!

I am sure that since Bush is so enthusiastic about the war, jos daighters will sign up right away, to be one of the first
I don't think that they can restarte the draft with out an act of congress. this congress does not support the additional war personal.

I think if it needs to be, then everyone should do there part. A lot of people are not coming home, yes it would be awful, but... what would the out come be if no one went?

I would do what I have to do and serve, my brother just got home from serving 9 months in Iraq, and if I had to fight then hell, I would fight and be together with him. War sucks but if you wanna be free from terrorist attacks and not fear that maybe one day they will do something bigger then 9/11 then I would serve for all those who lost their lives due to terrorism.

I would be among the next generation of draft dodgers. But first, I would do my best to fail any physicals. Maybe my history of asthma will help.

I think forcing anyone into military activity is just awful. Its like forcing someone to hurt/kill another person.
I think there are ways you could get out of it though, just pay a doctor to diagnose you with some illness.
