Your question seems to have popped out of a time warp. Women have been working in positions of authority for ages. They haven't been primarily 'homemakers' and 'receptionists' for almost an entire generation. Crawl out from under your rock!

Hello,
(ANS) The odds DONT look very good I have to say, why? because if you look back over the last 2000 years of male dominated patriarchie woman havent had much of a look in.
**The Irony is that in many ancient successful cultures it was woman who ran them, they were matriarchies.
**I think the only way woman will ever gain positions of real, substantial authority is if they either fight men for them or steal the power by cunning from men in some way?
**Its clear that in most sitiuations the men are NOT going to politely step aside for woman to take control or command.
**What makes me extremely Sad!! is that I do genuinely think its time woman were given a chance to show how good they could be in positions of authority. They might even make a better job than alot of men have done. I for one would like to see woman given a much greater chance than they have previously been given.
**No! woman wont always just remain homemakers or secretary's thats changing already, all be it slowly. The issue is that woman should have equal choice as man in my opinion, its definately NOT a level playing field at present though.

The roll has been reversed as needed but it is difficult for a woman to remain just a homemaker after she has learned skills for work outside the home.It is not authority that is the topic but the balance. when men stay in a controlling stance they are lovers of them self and not of the woman, though they may humble them self when in need of comforts.

It is time now that women are allowed to work in a position of authority thanks to equal opportunities. The emerging women CEOs in the West and to some extent in the East is a clear proof. But it has been a slow process in the developing countries like India and underdeveloped countries.

If you look closely, the number of girls going thru university is steadily increasing. It eventully could exceed that of boys as it has been seen that they indulge more in useless activities which disturb their education.
Then, i dont see why we would not have an equal chance, or maybe even takeover.
Look at ladies like Condoleeza Rice, the president of Phillipines, this Clinton lady and have hope. You too work hard to achieve something to be proud of in your life.

Yes, indeed. It's already here to a great degree. An interesting phenomenon is the number of women presidents and leaders overseas and in Third World countries.

Boadiccea, Mrs Thatcher, Indhira Ghandi, Marie Curie, etc, etc, etc, etc, ad infinitum, did not wait to be 'allowed' to do anything.
'homemaker' is the highest authority in any land, whoever is doing it.
Alternately, 'will we men ever learn real values?'.
