Thinking of getting one of those small sticky magnets to place on my dashboard, so I can place my k800i on it. Would it stick, and is it safe to do this- would it harm the k800i?

Hey TIDYBOY. Here is a general rule of thumb for you with electronics. Anything that holds memory like IPOD's,cellphones, MP3 players, hard discs, hard drives, etc...... Keep them away from MAGNETS. Magnets will wreck memory storage devices. This is not a maybe, it is definite.

How many magnets are you going to put in your car. Again (as with the Ipod), it'll mess up the inside of it, so dont do it. You can buy holders for these things
