how would you set up an internal/external email facility in a network?

Assuming that you have a number of PC's that connect to a fileserver, I would install either microsoft exchange server (if you want to spend forever setting the thing up), or VPop3. These are post offices for use of a better analagy. Set either one up to link to the internet and download all mail for your domain, then within their settings they can be configured to read the first part of the email address (before the @), and separate it. Each PC needs to be configured using outlook or outlook express to link to the server and check the mail. It sounds more difficult than it is. IT@tonicweb.co.uk
