How can an islamic state like Iran allie with Russia, which killed many Afghans and Chechens?

Iran claims to defend muslims of the region from american aggressions. Is Russia less evil than Usa?

Politics makes strange bedfellows. It shows that there is really little justice in the world - or conscience. Russia killed over a million Afghans, ravaged an already impoverished nation. Chechens have felt the same backlash of Russian dominance in their quest for freedom. Islamic fanatics will deal with anyone, especially if the price is right, even at the expense of their own people. If not evil, most major players in the world today are deceitful at the expense of the have-not's. Everyone has their price. There is very little justice, I'm afraid.

First question is because it is a power play to play both sides by the new Iranian president, he was educated in Russian University. 2nd question because he like any other of these fascist minded people hiding behind the cloth are liars, and no Russia is worse by far. Since WW II we fought Stalin then Kruchev, etc., all along they were selling guns to all these people to control and take power after what ever side was left standing? Look at Premier Putin he just executed the ex-Gorbechev premier of Russia, his female partner 2months ago in Moscow for Writing a magazine against him and he had her killed outside her home in the street? What do you think now? Look it up in the CNN news reports? Gorbechev is under protection right now because he knows the secrets about this terrorist thing and the ties to the traitors in our government as well. he is in serious danger.

It's all about power: countries seek allies that may help them in their goals, a common enemy is more important than ideals. So Iran teams up with catholic Venezuela and atheist North Korea. The USA and dictatorial islamic fundamentelist Saudi Arabia are allies etc etc etc
