They can and should make you work - but if you are being offered jobs that you really, really don't like - then start looking for jobs that you do like. Sometimes we have to make compromises though - even if it is for the short term. Get a job and do it until you find a job that you really want to do - work isn't perfect for most people - we just do it out of necessity to pay our way and have a semi decent life.
Better to make your own choices - i.e find a job you choose than be made to do a job you hate by the government - so get a move on and get some control in your life!

I'm afraid so. if you live in England the can stop your benefits if you don't accept a job after a few offers. Have you told the jobcentre what sort of job you are looking for ( a realistic, achievable post that is)? Maybe you should have stayed on at school and got more qualifications? You can do nightclasses and gain some qualifications to get a better job. however if you just want to laze about all day getting benefits that us workers end up paying for then I have no sympathy.

I love the way people on here just presume your on benefits or that your lazy, how can they make that decision from the question you posted, i have no idea how......... but anyway, no-one can force you to take a job if you really dont want to, you just gotta ask yourself what it is you really wanna be doing, why dont these jobs seem attractive, whats your aim?

Why dont you want to take a job? is it because its far easier sitting round all day waiting for your Giro to be payed into your account. Have some self respect, take one of the jobs, when you have a job its easier to get another, maybe one that you enjoy.
In short GET OFF YOU @RSE AND GET SOME WORK DONE

You don't HAVE to take any job.
However, keep in mind that if you are getting unemployment, your benefits can be cut off if it is determined that there is employment for you but you won't take it. A friend of mine was once turned down for unemployment benefits for this very reason.

It all depends on who 'they' are. If you do not have a job already, you need to decide to take on one that has been offered to you to support yourself until your dream job comes alone.

Why don't you want to take them?
I am disabled and am always turned down by employers due to this. I would love the opportunity to work and have so far not had one.
Get up off your lazy **** and take one.
