Usually when something is called a hardware store it is referring to hardware such as hammers, nails, screwdrivers and the like. You would want to go to a general electronics store or a retail store to find such things.

They have but to ask. PC vendor are greedy by nature and would love to sell more computer and probably not care who sells there products.
