Some people snore, some grind their teeth, some reveal a little of the dream that's going on. Is this at all linked to how their mind works or is it all physical.

Talking in the sleep, like sleepwalking, does not occur in the main dream phase of sleep (which is called REM sleep, REM stands for rapid eye movement). During REM sleep the body is paralyzed (experiments with cats in which this paralization was blocked, made these cats act their dreams: engaging into fights, running, eating etc.. ) My guess is that sleeptalking does hardly mean anything, my experience with a sleeptalker are the same: just some random phrases, you can't get into a meaningful conversation, and when woken up they don't remember a dream

Talking in the sleep is related to the working of the mind

When you snore it is not because of the working of the mind it is rather due to the working of lungs
When the Lung pipe [trachea] is clogged due to enlargement or irritation or other biological reasons...people start snoring because the air finds it difficult to escape out and get inside their lungs sometimes it may be due to sleeping position that a person may snore and he/she stops snoring as soon as the position is changed
This is why people snore and there is no other reason

Talking in the sleep is a completely different phenomenon
When we hide something and don't reveal it to others it goes into our subconcious
Like if I hate someone to the extent that i want to kill him but cannot as law does not permit me too...I will not tell anybody about this...but my mind knows it and it stores it in the subconcious
However, our brain has limited memory and so when the subconcious is full..the brain starts spewing out the excess memory dump
Since we can control our mind and our thoughts when we are awake..we don't let the mind spew our thoughts when we are awake...but when we are asleep..the mind does it's job and that is why we talk in sleep

I think that people who talk in their sleep are acting out their sub conscious thoughts. You have to realize that the mind and body are connected. For instants (cant spell bear with me.) When my wife has a really bad day..She grinds her teeth so much that it wakes me out of a dead sleep. People who talk in their sleep or grind their teeth suffer from large amounts of stress. I know this for a fact. If stress is reduced in your life than the sleep talking and teeth grinding will subside.
Snoring is another matter. This has to do with the configuration of your throat And your adenoids. If you have your adenoids removed ..This could fix the snoring problem.
To answer your question..It is both physical and mental.
I hope this helps.....

I don't know but it is funny when people do talk in their sleep. Sometimes you can figure out what they are dreaming about and sometimes you can't .
