You want to play what's called a "face character", meaning you'll show your face, instaed of being masked. At Disneyland, getting a job is called "casting", and you actually have to audition. Here's what I found on http://corporate.disney.go.com/careers/auditions_disneyland.html#Characters
That's the page that will keep you posted as to what's going on. Good luck!

Good luck Disney is a big Corporation with Departments and sub departments. I would call the park itself and start with the HR people there. I used to do telemarketing and had to call them once. The organization structure is bigger than the parks put together!

you can audition to be a character (check with the "casting" department for dates and times), but you will not get to choose your character. they have specific height requirements for every character, and they assign you.
