Why would someone happily married still want to have an inappropriate romantic relationship with someone other than her husband.

shes not happily married in her heart . or mayhaps shes bored with routines ... . Ask her to try out something fun , out of the routine with her husband n perhaps then she wont think abt that inappropriate romantic relationship . Sometimes i guess husband forget that their wife need wooing sometimes ?

Because they are bored and want to look elsewhere then to what
they have at home. It is also usually for selfish reasons and for self gratitude... Love is usually not involved and if it supposedly is it is that they dont love their spouse. This is very sad but true. You are very right this is inappropriate.... If you are unhappy in your marriage then either go to a marriage counselor and get help for you and the marriage or seperate and then file for divorce and once the divorce is final then and only then should you start another relationship with someone else.

There are many reasons why she may cheat, maybe she's not happy , maybe she's bored, etc. Trophy wife--it seems very sad that you have to keep your hhusband abreast of your whereabouts and doings at all times just so he knows that you are not cheating. It sounds like a lot of insecurity on his part (and possibly some guilt too) and even more disturbing is the fact that you give in to that kind of insecure, childish behavior. Both of you need to understand what it means to be in an adult relationship.

Depends on what happily married means. maybe it's just to be with someone that fires her up. maybe he has been with someone and she's doing it for that reason. maybe she likes the other guy better, or she's trying to put an extra spark into the marriage by not taking it for granted that they are both gonna stay forever. she could just like the guy, when she should be stopping it for the sake of her marriage.

She is lying about being happily married. If you're happily married you spend all your energy loving your partner and would not care to have relationship with other men.

because they are nothing more than sad people with no self esteem... it makes me so mad, i am a military wife and so many "wives" sleep around on their husbands and it just heartbreaking, especially as how i constantly feel i have to let my husband know my every moment so he knows i've been faithful... i have no pity or respect for cheaters, no matter their situation... PLEASE give someone the benifit of a divorce before you'd ever do that.... you just make someone feel so horrible. Let your spouse leave the relationship with a little respect.

Routine relationship can make her bored. Some excitement would be there would be there with the new found man. That's natural. The best way to avoid is to do some thing different! ;)

It all depends on their type of relationship. Some couples enjoy having relationships with other couples.. or other people. And I dont see anything wrong with it... its their choice.
But If this woman is having a relationship behind her husbands back.. then obviously its not as happy of a marriage you might think.

She could be not really happy in her married life. Otherwise there can be no reason for her to cheat on her husband. Somewhere something had gone wrong.

I agree with Yu, if she is wanting to have extra marital affairs, she's not happy. The spark is gone, he isn't paying enough attention to her, he can't meet her needs. The reasons are endless.
