Question

why do people on this forum claim that 911 is a "joke," and that the 3 towers did not fall as a result of the two jetliners crashing through them, thereby exploding, but that it was all a us government conspiracy that placed TNT and other explosives into the wtc towers?

why in the world would our government have any reason to blow up the wtc?

haven't you watched the films?

do you know anything about how the buildings were built and why they collapsed the way they did?

do you know anything at all about how dust and debris escapes at the base of an explosion, such as a volcano--which is exactly why we are able to view the pompei mummies?

what proof exists that the jets did not cause the towers to collapse? if you have proof, i'd just love you to supply me with links to it!

EDITED: readers/answerers: read ION-CONST's answer! explosions were heard by whom and documented how (since i never heard of this), in the basements of the two WTC towers? are you beserk? the only time explosions were inside of the WTC was years before the airplane attack. BinLaden claimed responsibility for them! are you saying that our own people set bombs off in the basements so that the towers would pancake, imploding into themselves? and what is this rot about structural steel having been cut prior to the attack? where is the proof of that? is that someone's wild opinion? what backup does he have for that? provide the links to these claims in your Edit please.

Yep, I've heard a lot of those theroies. And some people believe them because they hate Bush, not beause there is any other reason to. Certainly if there was any real evidence, let alone proof it would have made the news since the media tends to be
Bush haters themselves. But it hasen't. Why not? Simple. There is no truth to it. Its nothing more than a bunch of bull fantisized by people who hate Bush and anything conservative.

On Sept.11, my husband called and said "turn on the TV quick! A plane just crashed into the wtc." I saw the second plane crash into the second tower. I saw the distruction in New York City, the Pentagon, the field in Pa. where the third plane went down. I watched replay's of both planes crashing and interviews of people that were there and I watched as the search for people turned into a search for bodies and then the clean up. I don't need some Wacko's on blog sites or some Nutty professor, or hate filled screwballs to tell me if it really happened or not!

Strange though, that WTC7 collapsed without being hit. Also strange that the WTC buildings are the only buildings to have ever collapsed after being hit by airplanes but not the only buildings to have ever been hit by airliners or burn as a result of airliner impacts. I'm not saying that I think the U.S. government would conspire to create a catastrophic event which would galvanize it's citizens' resolve into going to war and making that administration fabulously wealthy or anything. I'm certainly not saying that I don't trust the government to do the right thing each and every time. I'm just saying it's a little weird, that's all. I just want to re-emphasize the fact that I implicitly trust our government. I think they're the greatest, and they would not ever hurt American citizens. Ever.

While there were some design faults in the twin towers of the world trade centre, they would still be standing, and all those people would not have lost their lives if the two planes had not been crashed into them.

Engineers had analized the speed and way in which the towers fell. THese are the facts:
The towers had central beams of solid steel design to sustain 3 times the building weight.
Other explosions were heard in the buildings basements before aircraft hit , and in between aircraft hits masking the towers implotions.
Video footage evidentiltes how the buldings implode into themselves caused by an internal demolition of the central beams that sustained the towers. In orther for the towers to fell into themselves like the pancake effect we see. The central beams on the towers needed to fall first.
Removal of debri in an unusual quickly manner revealed that internal beams were found cutted in convenient 25 feet pieces.
The weeks before the 9/11 attacks employees of Wold TRade Center were trained on how to abandom the building and there were internal blackouts that lasted 4 hours.
Marvin Bush, GWB younger bro was in charge of WTC security for 3 years before the attacks.
WTC #7 fell without any impact from any aircraft. The president of the building is on tape taliking about the necesity to "unplug building" a term commonly used in demolition weeks before 9/11.

I find it disgraceful that anyone would think the government sponsored a hit against the WTC, which ultimately cost our economy $2 trillion. Bin Laden even bragged about planning and financing the hit. Didn't YOU watch the films? The surrounding buildings were torn down because of all the massive destruction to their infrastructures.

I think it was gravity that caused the towers to fall. Either that or it was Ents pulling it down and throwing big rocks. The real question is what exactly does the ring of power do to make people powerful?
