James, Why do we need Defoe? we have the fastest striker in the country with Agbonlahor... who is younger, faster and showing far more potential.

Agree with your comments about Agbonlahour, he has got loads of potential. Martin O'Niel has got a decent eye for a player, but i am not sure that Carew is the answer to Villa's prayers. He is a good player, but i would have liked to see O'Niel go for someone like Roy McKaay, who has got more of a proven scoring record. Don't think Young is going to add much to the Villa side either.
As for Arsenal, well the purchase of a cover for Van Persie would be good, but i do not think it will happen. AW does not normally panic buy in the Jan transfer window. Hleb being injuredm is also a worry, but the Arsenal have an abundance of midfield talent.
If i had a wish list, it would be for Gallas to come back soon, and for AW to bid for Torres. Him and Thierry Henry would be unstoppable.
