We wouldn't think of them any differently than the shark, which we stay away from for fear of our lives, or the giraffe, which is truly one of the oddest-looking creatures left-over from the pre-historic age. Maybe there actually were dragons at some point, because they are used to describe things a lot in the Bible, so where did those writers come up with them if they never really existed at some point in history? There were no fantasy artists back then, so they had to base early writings and drawings on something they had seen.

I think dragons are real and are very intelligent, they have seen what mankind has done with all the other species that have been destroyed over the last 3 or 4 hundred years and are keeping a low profile.
Mankind is the only animal that kills for pleasure and i doubt the dragon wants to be the next.

I doubt that the world would be really shocked/surprised if the fire-breathing dragons that are depicted in folklore and myths were, infact, a reality because there are thousands of new animal species being discovered constantly and maybe even daily. There are so many kinds of animals, fish, and birds out there that we humans don't even know about just yet. I'm not saying that I believe that fire-breathing dragons exist (because I doubt that there is anything that actually exhales fire), but that their existence could be a possibility.

Well, I would put it this way, "Meddle not in the affairs of Dragons-for you are crunchy and good with ketchup." There is still much that we don't know and there are huge areas of the world that no human being has visited. New species and and families of critters are being found every day. So if they do exist and were found, then I guess we would have to rewrite some science books and what we know of physics.

I think much of the world would reject the idea until someone actually brought a live specimen to them. Most people would be fearful of them, and some would announce that it was a sign of the apocalypse. You'd have to work very hard to keep trophy hunters and religious nuts from killing them. And then of course you'd have the environmentalists demanding that their habitat be preserved, while the conspiracy theorists would speculate that they were not discovered but created by a secret government weapons program.
In other words, people would tend to react in accordance with their pre-existing conceptual patterns and assumptions.

I would imagine they would market the heck out of them.
Much as some try to do with the book
Heather Has 5 Husbands
which I think is on Amazon.
Would the dragons be friendly or mean? Ort would they just be big lizards? These are things that would play into our perception of them. As I think about it, Al Gore would blame them for global warming.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised at all. There are too many stories from completely seperate cultures and traditions that feature dragons. The creatures, however, closely resemble each other, which suggests a grain of truth in their common origin.

I think that would be cool but of course all those boring people out there would find an accuse for you seeing one. Like maybe you were on drugs or just belong in the looney bin. Whatever right. Some people can't accept anything that is not normal.

No one on earth seems able to believe without seeing these days. So, until you got live footage of a huge dragon flaming a huge city, no one will listen.

I think the world would to shocked, but some humans would immediately start killing them for their skin or horns, and eventually, the dragons would vanish again.
