Being abroad, I see in the news all the protests against Bush and the war. In 70% of the world, the U.S:A. has a bad reputation (stronger since Bush is in office). How can most the world, and most of Americans be against this war, yet Bush still go on stronger? Fellow Americans, what are we doing about it?

I don't know. I think personally he doesn't care what others think. The last poll I saw was that about 61% of Americans disagreed with Bush on the war in Iraq.

The US has pretty much gotten a black eye over the war. Living overseas I have been able to see protests against the US. It's sad that we are hated so much, even by countries we have helped for years.

The overwhelming majority of our fine military is commited and motivated to winning in Iraq and do not want to leave prematurely. That is why the war is winnable.

Average Americans not serving or with family serving are soft, have the attention span of a 2yr old and want every thing to happen immediatiely. That will not be the case with Iraq.

The military never lost in Viet Nam...the country lost the political will and intestinal fortitude to win.

Bush may be "hated in 70% of the world as you claim" but I don't see any news report of Bush hating nor any pictures of public protests lynching Bush effigy in this 70% of the world. I travel around Asian countries and by and large nobody gives a fudge about the US in Iraq. Does it mean (you think) that 70% of the world accepts or tolerates US actions in Iraq? Seems that way to me.

I think he's doing what he believes is right. Who knows, he may even feel like he made a mistake, but now that we're in it we've got to close it out. The consequences of leaving would be much greater. I'm sure he takes into consideration the thoughts and feelings of all Americans about this war, but that's not enough reason to back out. I'm assuming that our President wouldn't go back on a decision that important, just because it was unpopular. He wouldn't seem to be a very strong leader if that was the case.

We are fighting a war that we have no business fighting. We as Americans have been lied to by Bush and his company of experts that tried to link 9-11 to Iraq the WMD and other lies.

This president calls himself a man of God and supported by the leaders of the Religious Right. He has lied but they seem not to see his lies as harming the country. Few years ago Congress impeached a president for lying over the issue of sex. They were more concerned about his lies where are they today?

The Americans opposed to the war get a lot more attention than the ones who aren't. That makes it seem as though there are a lot of them.
We have a lot more people killed in car accidents every year than in Iraq but do you see the people demonstrating to stop the use of cars???

Well they voted GOP out of congress in Nov. That's what people did to punish Bush. Voting democrats into power in congress. But there is not much you can do to stop commander in chief. Congress is taking some steps, but probably not in time to stop up coming troop surge in Iraq.

I am not doing anything about it.I agree with his war,in fact I'd go even further and bomb the hell out of Iran, syria,Palestine,Saudi Arabia.I'd turn the whole mideast into one big sheet of glass shimmering in the desert sun.
