Don't say anything...DO the right thing...go to work, they need you!

You should work. But if you don't, don't say anything horrible-like someone died, or is really sick, or that there is a family emergency. God forbid you say it and it happens. Also, if you get caught in the lie, you would not only be seen as a liar, but a horrible person too. Go to work. "get sick "there and go home.
Or, work, complain you're not feeling well at the end of the day, act a little sick and call out the next day. If you must lie, be believed.

its work, they don't need the exact reason, just a reason, most people feel inclined to go on and on, just simply state the matter ( of whatever you choose, like personal/family/etc.) and that you will not be there.
